چکیده

There are known problems of Lorentz-Dirac equation for moving with acceleration charged particle in classical electrodynamics. The model of extended in one dimension particle is proposed and shown that electromagnetic self-interaction can lead (with appropriate choice of retarded and advanced interactions) to zero change in particle momentum. The hypothesis is formulated: all relativistic internal forces of various nature can give zero change in particle momentum 03.50.De

On the model of moving rigid charged body is shown that the Lorentz-Dirac approach to radiation reaction in classical electrodynamics does not work for trajectories of body close to the light cone. 03.50.De Since the famous Dirac's paper on relativistic radiation reaction in classical electrodynamics, many textbooks and research articles were published on that theme. Among them are [1-11], wher...

One-dimensional Central-force Problem for Sommerfeld Sphere in Classical Electrodynamics: Some Numerical Results

Numerical calculations of head-on collisions of two point charged particles in classical electrodynamics with retardation and radiation reaction show many interesting properties of Lorentz-Dirac equation [1-6]. Among them are: (P.1) absence of physical trajectory in the attractive case for finite initial values of position, energy and acceleration point charge stops before it reaches the Coulom...

Can Mechanically Extended Sources of Radiation in Classical Electrodynamics Solve All Problems of Radiating Point-like Sources?

In classical electrodynamics there are known problems of radiation reaction force for point-like sources of radiation: preacceleration, runaway and other pathological (unphysical) solutions. In the literature one can find the opinion that if the finite size of a radiating source is fully taken into account all the above problems can be solved. In this paper we examine the well known model of ”n...

Human 3-D tissue models in radiation biology: current status and future perspectives

In this review, we discuss the use of a variety of 3-D models (particularly 3-D skin, lung, breast and endothelial) in radiobiological research and highlight the differences in responses compared to 2-D culturing conditions (monolayers). We review the characteristics of existing 3-D models and aim to point out the substantial advantages 3-D cultures provide for modern radiobiology. In particula...

Positivity-preserving nonstandard finite difference Schemes for simulation of advection-diffusion reaction equations

Systems in which reaction terms are coupled to diffusion and advection transports arise in a wide range of chemical engineering applications, physics, biology and environmental. In these cases, the components of the unknown can denote concentrations or population sizes which represent quantities and they need to remain positive. Classical finite difference schemes may produce numerical drawback...
